What a Relief! You Can Make Your Own Prints
What a Relief! You Can Make Your Own Prints
Introduction to Relief Printing! In this class you will learn how to draw, transfer, and carve your own "stamps". We will talk briefly about materials to carve and other printing techniques. Some stamp design templates will be provided but you are always welcome to freestyle. You will learn how to print on paper as well as fabric and will take home your own starter carving tools, printing ink, and will make your own printed bandana.
When: Wednesday, May 29th, 5:30-7:30pm
Teacher: Heather L'Esperance (she/they)
Heather L'Esperance is a self-taught printmaker, crafter, and enjoyer of textile arts. Though she did go to school for art, she does not believe it is necessary to create something "good". The process is just as enjoyable as the product; a lesson learned by teaching herself printmaking only a year and a half ago. Let's figure it out together!
Located inside the Front Row Centre Building, 121 E. Front St., Suite 107
