This generative writing workshop will include poetry prompts and exercises that emphasize playful expression and experimentation. Participants will be encouraged to deconstruct what they know about poetry in order to create new work. This is a critique-free space where you never have to share any writing (unless you want to).

Everyone can be a poet! All people (ages 16+), regardless of experience or background, are invited to join.

When: Wednesday, June 12th, 6-8pm

Taught by: Sage Mitchell (he/him/they/them)

Sage Mitchell (he/they) is a queer, trans-masculine writer and educator living in Michigan. He teaches English to emerging artists at Interlochen Arts Academy. He is a published poet and has been featured in Great Lakes Review, Pile Press, Tilted House, among others. Sage’s first chapbook Dirt Stache is due from Neon Hemlock Summer 2024.

Located inside the Front Row Centre Building, 121 E. Front St., Suite 107
